He, along with his senior Reiki Masters present complimentary First Degree courses throughout the year to cancer patients and provide Reiki treatments twice a month at the clinic.
Gilbert’s initial career was 30 years service in the U.S. Army Infantry where he commanded several organizations numbering from 40 to 430 personnel. Much of this career was spent in Latin America where he had the opportunity to work with many indigenous tribes and their medicine men. In the latter part of his career, he experienced an accident that left him partially disabled and emotionally depressed. After several weeks of medical evaluations and treatments, he was discharged from the hospital on crutches. Where the medical community was unable to heal him; it was through the intervention of several Reiki practitioners that he was able to truly heal.
Gilbert initially started his Reiki training with Leslie Mondul and David Jarrell, founder of the Reiki Plus System of Natural Healing. However, for the past eight years, he has studied Reiki Jin Kei Do and Buddho EnerSense with Gejong Palmo, now formally known as Kunzang Dechen Chodron. He currently has over 400 students and has trained 28 Reiki Masters.
Today, Gilbert is well know on the East Coast as a Holistic Heath Practitioner working with many several alternative modalities such as Reiki Jin Kei Do, the Trager® Approach, and Psycho-Therapeutic Reiki®. It is through the integration of all of these techniques that he is best able to address the various physical issues and emotional challenges that clients and patients present.
"It is my belief that it crucial to treat the whole body
( mind / body / emotions / spirit )
to find the underlying restrictions that are at the root of an
individual’s pain. Working on the place where the person hurts
is only the tip of the iceberg."
